Who Are We?

Core Beliefs:

 

❖ We strive to create safe, joyful, and engaging classrooms and school communities. The students are front and center. Love and Kindness are the foundation of the educational process.

❖ We are here to nurture students' Minds, Hearts, and Souls. We consider students’ Jewish education and awareness essential to their well-being.

❖ The student will develop their academic, social, and emotional skills in a learning environment that is developmentally responsive to their strengths and needs.

❖ To be successful in and out of school, students need to learn a set of social and emotional competencies; Cooperation, Responsibility, Empathy, Respect, and Self Control. They also need to learn a set of academic competencies; Academic mindset and behavior, effort, perseverance, and problem-solving.

 

Guiding Principles:
 

❖ Teaching social and emotional skills is as important as teaching academic content.

❖ How we teach is as important as what we teach.

❖ Great cognitive growth occurs through social interaction and only while one feels emotionally safe.

❖ How the faculty works together to create a safe, joyful and enriching environment.

❖ An inclusive school environment is as important as the individual’s contribution and competence.
