At a Glance

CJA serves the greater Myrtle Beach area and provides a traditional yet individualized education. It is our commitment to facilitate the growth of each child to their fullest potential; academically, emotionally and spiritually.

Since its inception in 1987, our school continues to put the child first. Best practices are employed to help each girl and boy, achieve their academic potential in an environment which fosters well being and an aware Jewish identity.

  • Grades served: Preschool through eighth grade.
  • Average 1:5 student/teacher ratio
  • Enrollment: 103 children
  • CJA serves Jewish children of families from all backgrounds, practices, and beliefs.    Affiliated and non-affiliated families are equally welcome.
  • Day is divided between general and Judaic curriculum as 65% general studies and 35% Judaic studies.
  • CJA follows South Carolina curriculum standards as well as the Common Core Standards
  • CJA graduates have been selected for the most prestigious programs including The Scholars Academy of Horry County. CJA students have a 90%+ placement in high school honors classes.
  • Throughout its history, the school, the students and teachers, were frequently honored and awarded in competitions, grants and scholarships for achievements in the academics, arts, and Judaic studies.

Most notable are several titles in Horry County’s Spelling Bee, the Stock Market Challenge, Science Fairs, and Art Contests.
